#Atlanta&Surroundings - Day 3

Time went by fast and I didn't even have the time to realize what happened.
Day 3 in Atlanta was very interesting. I reached downtown area and I took a look around. It's famous for its hotels and turistic places. In the morning, I spent most of the time at the CNN headquarter, the 'World of Coca-Cola' and the Centennial Olympic Park.

(After Kara and Ashby's advice I decided to buy the City Pass and to have access to 5 attractions of the city for a discounted price, great idea.)
Going in the CNN headquarter I had this feeling of passion so intense that moved me deeply. The greatness of the main hall was incredible. There was a globe hanging in the air with this long escalator -spread of televisions with CNN on air- going inside of it. The tour is nothing special but it was my first time in a newsroom, and that was impressing. Coming out from there, still excited about it, I went through the Centennial Olympic Park, the park where the terroristic attack set in 1996 in which two people died. Not so big as everything else in the US but really well-finished. Atlanta is very clean and has many green areas, so there is always this calm atmosphere even if there are more than 5 millions people living here.
Anyways, crossing the park from one side to the other I got into another green area where the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola face each other.
I only have time for one because of a city picnic prepared for both of us by Kara.
Coke wins.
This is not a museum for children, it's a theme park for young adults.
Besides all the historical Company's collections, there are so many interactive and dynamic rooms. Moreover, a short-movie in their 4D movie theater and the testing room with more than 65 flavors from all over the world.
I couldn't resist and I tried all of them, for example Fanta melon of Thailand and Bonbon Anglais of Madagascar.
After lunch I did another couple of turistic things : using wifi at Hooters and visiting Hard Rock Cafè gift shop.
Sooner Mike and Ashby came to pick me up and brought me in a records store, one of those with a hippy and a Harley-Davidson rider as owners, where all the records are held in wooden boxes. I loved it and I bought one-song record.
Mike works for the School of Rock -it's a relief to know that is not just a movie and if nobody does I'll open the first one in Italy- and they show me the place and some kids playing in their classes. Unique opportunity. The place is not very big but all the posters, drawings and album covers of all times give to it a really nice and warm atmosphere.
Altogether we ate a hamburger at Vortex which has a very particular entrance, located in 'Little Five Points' area, the most hipster part of the city but we'll talk about this later.
